In recent years they have developed product with companies in other sectors who have required more complex products and who have needed design support
TR Malaysia was acquired by Trifast in 2011 to supply the TR Group with product to spearhead and support the growth of the automotive sector in Asia.
TR Malaysia specialise in automotive fasteners for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and the electric vehicle (EV) market. They are a key supplier to the two national car brands in Malaysia. Historically they have had a close association with Japanese auto manufactures and a high percentage of their output is produced with Japanese steel and have adopted many of their quality principles. As a result, they are known for their ability to produce complex forgings for powertrain, braking and other safety critical components.
Over time they have developed products with companies in other sectors who have required more complex products and have a need for design and development support. The technical team have developed a Dojo room and actively encourage customers to bring their design requirements or problems to PSEP where their skilled team can work to assist.
Investment continues with solar panels being installed on the roofs to meet environmental requirements and to offset escalating power costs.
